Alright Guilf! Thought i might as well give this site some support. I thought ye said ye were only interviewing them, i didnt realise you were also going to be seeing them live… awesome. I’ve only got ‘there is no there’ and ‘deaf kids’ on ma ipod… what have i done with the rest of the songs?! Did cross my mind that this place could do with padding out in the movies section, but realised it takes someone who can write to do this whole journalistic jazz, so i probably should leave it to those who can.
Anyhoo, sent ya some more email mix tape stuff, Rusted Root and the Soggy Bottom Boys. Rusted root is a pretty damn good summer-esque anthem and no that isnt George Clooney singing with the SBBs- he was miming along in the O’Brother.
Currently renting my first silent movies… unintentionally. Well I did mean to get them i just didnt realise they were both silent films. Sergei Eisentstien’s The Battleship Potemkin (Hailed by many as one of the greatest films of all time…) and Metropolis a sci. fi. silent film… incredibly and suprisingly great looking, for a film made in 1927 its down right amazing. Watched them both halfway through so far, but will dedicate more time to it later.
