Elephone - "The Shivering" EP, Diyorelse Records

Okay. I tried. I really didn’t want, nor expect, to be chapping my lips on the ass of the first band to send us a record, but here I am. In fact, I’m finding it hard to write an honest review of this EP because I haven’t stopped listening to it yet. What I can say is that this is goth-tinged, shoegazy pop rock at it’s best. I suppose it would also be fair to say that anyone of my generation can appreciate Elephone, or at least any of us that grew up moping in our rooms listening to Joy Division and the Cure and waiting for the phone to ring. I am utterly, shamelessly hooked. I recommend it highly.
